Our sponsors and patron
The Mumvuri Project is kept going by the faithful support of individuals, churches and organisations, led by our patron.
Henry Olonga
Henry has been our patron since 2000, and through the years he has supported us with his talent for singing. Famous as a cricketer, Henry is a man of many talents. In 2001 our supporters organised a fundraising dinner; the main attraction was Henry, and we sold every one of the 150 seats. He performed for 45 minutes, with singing and stories from his past that had all the diners enthralled, an evening etched in the memory of everyone there.
Although he has not lived in Zimbabwe for many years, Henry has never forgotten us. Through his performances abroad, and the patrons who asked which charities he supported, our Project has always been at the top of his list, and we give thanks for the many donations that have come through him.
Churches, organisations and friends
We are very grateful for the churches and other organisations that have been faithful to us over the years, and for every individual supporter whose giving keeps the children of Banket in school and cared for. If you or your organisation would like to come alongside the Project, we would love to hear from you.
